Tier Grow Light Garden
The Tier Grow Light Garden by Vego Garden is a ready-to-grow tier system with built-in light modes, multiple sizes, and expansion options—based on my real grow test.
Tier Grow Light Garden
I loved the Tier Grow Light Garden because it came out of the box ready to grow. I’ve built a lot of custom racks, so I really appreciate when a system lowers the barrier to entry and lets people get started without needing deep knowledge about grow lights or racks.
My honest thoughts (what matters in real use)
The built-in light functions, size options, and expansion kits make it versatile and worth the cost. It feels designed by people who actually grow—simple to start, but still flexible enough to “trick out” later.
What stands out
- Out-of-the-box simple: no rack build phase required.
- Built-in light modes: reduces guesswork and keeps results consistent.
- Expansion options: you can scale without rebuilding your whole setup.
Custom rack alternative
If you want exact shelf spacing, exact tray sizing, and fully custom wiring, a DIY rack is awesome. Use my best indoor growing racks page as your starting point.

Built-in light modes that reduce guesswork
The pre-set schedules on the Tier Grow Light Garden make it easy to stay consistent without overthinking timing.

Show light modes table
| Mode | Cycle | Power |
|---|---|---|
| Seeds | 16h ON / 8h OFF | 17W |
| Micros | 16h ON / 8h OFF | 15W |
| Leafy | 16h ON / 8h OFF | 20W |
| Herbs | 16h ON / 8h OFF | 18W |
| Fruits | 22h ON / 2h OFF | 20W |
My note on modes
Consistency wins. For most people, a stable schedule beats constantly tweaking settings. I also added an extension kit later, which helped with larger plants like kale and a strong basil plant.
What I grew and where to buy it
Here’s what the rack looked like filled out during my grow test, plus the affiliate link if you decide it’s a fit.
What I grew (and what this rack is best for)
I grew lettuces, kale, basil, and many different microgreens on the Tier Grow Light Garden. The system made it easy to experiment, and the expansion kit helped even more once I wanted to push bigger plants.
What stands out (and what to plan around)
- Easy start: you’re growing fast without building a rack from scratch.
- Versatile space: planters + pots + trays can all make sense depending on goals.
- Expandable: it scales as your ambitions grow.
